- Damages caused by failure to perform normal maintenance
- Damages due to high velocity, high pressure, reloaded, remanufactured, or other non-standard ammunition
- Cosmetic damages
- Dimensional alterations caused from Cerakote or Paint (for example the removal of too much material or the addition of too much material altering the tolerance of components)

All other Overt Industries products have a Guarantee against defects in materials and workmanship.
If you have an issue with an Overt Industries branded product, email us at sales@overtindustries.com with a description of the issue, photos or videos of the issue, and your original order number.
If you are having cycling issues with your SOFR Upper, please ensure that you are using the recommended buffer system configuration listed in the product description prior to contacting us. If you are using a proprietary component in conjunction with our products (for example a proprietary buffer system, bolt carrier group, adjustable gas block, etc), we will do our best to help you, but we do not guarantee functionality with proprietary components. We always recommend using standard MIL-SPEC components, including MIL-SPEC carbine buffer system (for 300BO & 5.56) or A5 buffer system (for 5.56 only).
Overt Industries Hard-Line Suppressor Warranty Policy
We will repair or replace (at our discretion) any suppressor found to have a verifiable manufacturing defect — at no cost to you (excluding shipping and any required ATF transfer taxes/fees).
What Is Covered (Examples of Manufacturing Defects)
- Material flaws, poor welds, or out-of-spec tolerances present at the time of manufacture
- Failures directly caused by a manufacturing defect (e.g., weld separation, baffle misalignment due to machining error)
What Is NOT Covered
This warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear (including baffle/core erosion, end-cap erosion, or any degradation from round count or heat)
- Any damage caused by misalignment, improper mounting, ammunition issues, or user error
- Use of Dead Air KeyMo (or compatible KeyMo-style) mounting systems — due to documented high failure rates leading to misalignment and catastrophic damage, KeyMo mounts are explicitly excluded
- Any attempt to disassemble, modify, alter, or perform unauthorized repairs (our suppressors are permanently welded and not designed for user disassembly)
- Use of improper, reloaded/hand-loaded, remanufactured, substandard, or out-of-specification ammunition
- Improper installation, misalignment, or failure to verify clear bore/mount alignment before firing
- Use on incompatible hosts, over-bore pressure issues, or barrel/obstruction-related strikes
- Lack of maintenance, neglect, abuse, misuse, or criminal activity
- Normal cosmetic wear (scratches, dings, cerakote/finish chips, or fading)
- Damage from aggressive cleaning agents/solvents that strip finish or coatings
- Improper cleaning methods (e.g., abrasive tools, wire brushes, or anything inserted into the bore)
- Rust, corrosion, or environmental damage
Recommended Cleaning & Maintenance (To Preserve Warranty)
Our sealed suppressors require minimal maintenance but can be safely cleaned via non-invasive methods:
- Ultrasonic cleaning (fully assembled and sealed) is approved and recommended
- Dip/soak methods in non-corrosive solutions (e.g., CLR, vinegar mixes, or suppressor-specific cleaners) following industry best practices
- Never attempt to separate the tube from end caps or baffle stack — doing so will void the warranty
Paint and Finish
Cosmetic finish (Cerakote, Nitride, Anodizing, etc.) is not covered after the product leaves our facility and is used.
Non-Warranty Repairs
Even if damage is not covered under warranty (e.g., wear, user error, excluded mounts, etc.), Overt Industries will attempt to repair or re-core your suppressor:
- You will receive a quote for parts + labor (customer approves before work begins)
- Discounted replacement options may be offered when repair is not practical
Warranty Claim & Repair Process
- DO NOT ship your suppressor without prior authorization — this is an NFA item and unauthorized shipment may violate federal law.
- Contact sales@overtindustries.com with: – Serial number – Proof of original purchase – Detailed description/photos of the issue – Host firearm details, mount used, round count, and ammo type
- We will issue an RMA number and approved shipping instructions (including any Form 4/transfer requirements).
- Most warranty repairs are completed and returned within 30-60 business days of receipt (excluding shipping/ATF transfer time). Non-warranty repairs may take longer.
- Customer is responsible for all shipping costs and ATF transfer taxes/fees both ways.
Transferability & Additional Notes
- This warranty applies only to the original retail purchaser and is non-transferable.
- Overt Industries reserves the sole right to determine whether a failure is due to a manufacturing
