Date: May 18 - 8:45am to 5:00pm CST
Location: Top Gun Sportsman's Club - 4273 State Hwy 47, Lonedell, MO 63060
Close Contact Series: EDC Combatives is designed to provide shooters with the foundational fundamentals and tactics for close contact defensive handgun engagements. This course will provide instruction on marksmanship, handgun manipulation and retention, and engagement sequences that enhance a shooter’s ability to effectively deploy their handgun under varying condition.
This course will also emphasize proper handgun retention in close hand to hand contact. Training on retention, clinching, and hand to hand technique that will enable the shooter to maintain control of the firearm, maintain stability and balance, and engage a threat in close contact
We will also have a vehicle onsite and introduce vehicle defense tactics and educate our shooters on how to manipulate a handgun within the restricted proximity of a vehicle. Conventional training often fails to address the unique dynamics and complexities of vehicular encounters. Our Vehicle Defensive Tactics bridge the gap and empower you with specialized skills tailored for real-world vehicular scenarios.
We will then apply each of these Training Topics and Fundamentals through progressively challenging drills that will allow students to challenge their skill sets and most importantly, have fun.
After finishing this course, students will have a deeper understanding of how technical application of proper fundamentals and techniques can maximize their effectiveness and confidence in defending themselves with their handgun.
Following the event, our instructors rent the range’s Lodge, which includes a full kitchen, full bathroom, and AC. We plan to bonfire, BBQ, have some beverages, and conduct some night vision and low light activities (no live fire) to conclude the evening. Bring your own sleeping equipment, drinks, and food.
